Mandatory Identity Verification (KYC)

Prior to formally engaging any client, establishing a tax record, or providing financial and corporate services, we are legally required to verify the identity of the individual client, or the entity’s directors, trustees, and ultimate beneficial owners.

To satisfy these compliance requirements, we will request official identification documents, which may include:

  • Primary government-issued photo identification (e.g., current Australian Driver’s License or Passport).
  • Secondary verification data (e.g., Medicare cards, utility statements, or corporate registration extracts from ASIC).
  • Trust deeds, partnership agreements, or company structures to ascertain beneficial ownership.
Data Protection and Security of Identity Records

All identity verification data and associated compliance documentation collected during our onboarding sequence are treated as highly confidential. These records are transmitted via encrypted channels (such as our secure GoHighLevel portals), stored in restricted-access environments, and are processed strictly to satisfy our statutory legal obligations.

APC Accounting will never disclose identity documentation to any third party unless explicitly required to do so by an authorized Australian law enforcement body, AUSTRAC, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), or by court order. Failure or refusal to provide satisfactory proof of identity will result in the immediate decline or termination of the professional engagement.
